Bright Compass’s Founding Partner and CEO Dallas Thompson learned firsthand the importance of HR policies and procedures as the Director of Operations in North Carolina on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2016. Tasked with hiring and training over 400 staff members, she craved additional support, resources, and guidance on creating empowering, compliant, and inclusive campaign workspaces.
Armed with that experience and a simple thought that kept coming up amongst campaign colleagues: “Wouldn’t it be great if we trained people to do the things we asked them to do?” Bright Compass was born in 2018. 6 years later, Bright Compass has trained thousands of campaigners across the country and built a diverse team of trainers and campaign leaders to move the ball forward on workplace culture in politics.
